You're not quite on topic. There's a special section for technical issues. We also encounter this problem. We do it simpler. We play over a network, and conduct the final battle on one computer in a two-player mode (instead of TCP/IP).

Regarding the new monsters... I personally liked the Dracolichs and Blood Dragons. If I'm playing as Necropolis, I always try to find such a recruitment and quickly add this unit to my retinue.
The Gornyachs are not bad. When playing as humans or elves, you often find several recruitment options for them near the castle. If there are 3 or more recruitment options, I always try to take Gornyachs (instead of some of the weak units for the final battle, and if playing as Rampart, I transform them into Sylvanian units to free up a slot for them).

As for the Warlocks, Fanatics, etc... Well, I wouldn't say they are that strong. It depends, of course, on which Hero you are playing against them and what month it is. But Santa-Gremlyns are awesome. And do you know why? Hehe. When playing as Necropolis, I wait for this unit for a week as if it were a million euros! When there are 500 or more of them in the army, this neutral unit is the perfect way to get a bunch of free skeletons in an easy battle. :smile13:
