Naver Leengard was alone, but it didn't bother him. In fact, he seemed indifferent. He continued to wander around the city, amusing himself by setting everything on fire. His insane laughter echoed through the empty, burning streets. He grew weaker with each passing minute, but hadn't realized it yet and continued to wreak havoc.
- It's over, Pyro, surrender, - a voice came from somewhere.
Naver Leengard turned around and saw a cyclops and other X-Men. They slowly approached, surrounding him. Pyro laughed.
- Not so fast, I won't give up that easily! - he shouted, unleashed a wave of fire, and disappeared into a nearby building.
- After him, - commanded Morning.
Mona and Freud rose into the air, deciding to intercept the fugitive above if he decided to go higher. Rouge broke through the wall, and they flew inside. Spear teleported after them, bringing WishmasteR with him. Morning, Ta Kotoraya, and Nebo followed Naver Leengard. Someone rushed past them at great speed: Neira Drake ran into the building and looked around, trying to determine where Pyro had gone. She noticed an open door and burst in. Pyro was in a small room; his condition worsened, and his strength was fading.
- You're dying, - said Quicksilver. - From poison, just like my sister.
- I don't believe you! - exclaimed Pyro.
- You can choose not to believe it, but I know. You have very little time left; it would be better to surrender to them, and maybe they will help you, - continued Pietro.
- Never! If I am destined to die, then I will take you down with me, - John replied with a laugh and began to detach one of the hoses from the tank on his back.
Quicksilver wanted to stop him, but Pyro didn't let him get close, unleashing a pillar of flame. Pietro ran out of the room, heading towards the X-Men team.
- Get away! - he shouted.
A few seconds later, a terrible explosion occurred.
