Kird, there is such a possibility in the patched map editor, and in the offline editor with an integrated patch: changing the appearance of an object. When this patch appeared, some skilled players started creating bizarre maps where you can't trust your eyes. :( I saw one such map quite recently. Personally, I don't like it: changing the appearance of an object should be justified, and the player should ideally be warned about it.
Second assumption: a RoE map played in SoD; this phenomenon is described in the Physics Guide, section 3.9, but instead of a MOD, it causes the Titan's Roar.
