But in the latest version, in today's online game, the cursor refused to leave the game window, except to move to the left. After pressing Ctrl+Tab, it became normal. But at the start of the game, I don't think it should be like that. Let's continue. I took a chest with 1500 experience with the hero Shakti - he leveled up to advanced attack, entered the obelisk - another +1000 experience, +1 level. The choice window appears - advanced tactics or basic air - but the cursor completely disappears in the game, and no key manipulations help.
Regarding the quick battle. There wasn't an option to replay it in SoD as in WoG, and everything was fine, and no concerns arose. baratorch made such a useful feature (as he thought) for SoD as well. But it turned out that it's not a feature, but a buggy script. And with a high degree of confidence, we can say that WoG players get the most benefits from the quick battle precisely from using the best opportunities to overcome ranged defenses, from using the "superpowers" of hydras (which is actually a bug from flying units), and from saving mana, rather than from saving time. It's hard to give up such a bug. In principle, the WoG functionality led to the discovery of another bug in Heroes. Now it turns out that baratorch himself is not happy with his discovery. But everything can be easily fixed. Just put the corrected quick battle mechanism in a box called improve, fill it with (ranged towers, buggy artifacts, etc.). Those who are interested can use it.
Thus, we can distinguish different users of the mod:
• truegame - "bug-free" players, using a game completely free of bugs, dogmatists, offline players (the corrected quick battle would be included here) - this group may become the main one;
• regular - players who regularly play, practicing new functionality and possibilities - more or less influencing the gameplay, but everything is optional, and the possibility of canceling the quick battle, for example, is also conditional, i.e., with the consent of both players - a large buffer zone of users with all possibilities;
• difference - players with different versions, when on one side there is a modder, and on the other - SoD, i.e., the first should have standard possibilities, such as now in version 2.98 (displaying MP, including), and existing ones that do not affect the gameplay, and new ones of the same kind.
No one needs to be specifically encouraged with special conditions, no one will be disadvantaged. Everyone will find what they need. All that remains is for our chief designer baratorch to create something similar.
Here's another idea, by the way. Can we make it so that the starting save is saved before the red player's turn or when this is possible? Because sometimes data transfer fails and generation disappears, or an irreversible break occurs in Gameranger, or maybe just a bug occurs with a crash on the red player's side.
