Troglodytes in the fog - Three from the casket : WWW-LLL=3-0
28.08.12 Kilgor(red, random, Necropolis, Tamika, Gosh) def Hermit(blue, random, Dungeon, Das, Das), mini-no stats, 1-4-6 SoD
I chose all rests, he chose none. We played random without computers.
111 Got Necropolis in the underground. Lots of blocks, building Mage Guild, 5 heroes. Start as usual for Necro is tough.
112 -117 Captured a barbarian watchtower. Citadel horses came online. Good for Necro. Opponent has a dobula with an external dwelling of Minotaurs. I'm sad.
121 Gosh arrives, through the stables and straight into the barbarian treasure zone. 500 skeletons.
122 In the treasure zone a block of 70 Grands, and Gosh is level 1, ate 90 skeletons.
123 Treasure zone is mean and poor, 1 Dragon Fly Hive for 10-19 angels, no Pandora's Box close by, but there is a Dragon Utopia. Meanwhile Conflux is being captured. I split forces and go to my own respawn.
124-127 Necro stuff, leveling up, ate a Pandora's Box for 10k experience.
127 Capture a tier-3 Dragon Utopia, sacrificing 5 Necro horses, gave stats.
131 Through stables to the second Dragon Utopia.
132 A tier-2 Dragon Utopia, 800 skeletons. And there opponent revealed 5-9 angels and 20-49 gray Minotaurs.
133-135 Third treasure zone, scouted 3 Dragon Utopias, ate several Dragon Fly Hives.
136-137 Eat all Dragon Utopias. Gave wings and stats. Find a level 5 hat. Lots of chains, eat many Dragon Fly Hives. Not enough time. Meanwhile opponent breaks through the Guarded Object and operates in my respawn, took an artifact + Dragon Fly Hive, split forces and went to his own treasure zone.
141-142, Split and third treasure zone. Dragon Utopia gave Citadel, ate a Pandora's Box and it was all earth magic. Now I can go to the opponent. 1200 skeletons. Collected the elixir.
142-146 Took back the castle. Attacked the opponent in his main. In stats and army I have superiority, but there are 30 Knowledge.
146 Final Battle. 44 Minotaurs, 40 Wyverns and lots of small fry couldn't handle 1200 skeletons with Anti-Magic, 40 Wyverns and Imps for 2k.
Thanks for the game
That's how it was. Seeing the second Dungeon and the Labyrinth, I decided not to take a restart, despite the fact that my opponent had Necropolis. Naturally, main Das. Respawn was poor, but on the second week there were still 30 Minotaurs (there could have been more if I hadn't been slow), with them I took 2 Conservatories for 5 angels total. Das even got earth magic. I understood, of course, that I needed to break through the Guarded Object and go to the opponent before it was too late, but I don't know how to do that on the second week :( and the main thing is there was no slowness :( In despair I lost a few Minotaurs (though neutral morale also influenced this heavily) and captured the left external dwellings, so the Minotaur recruitment rate decreased significantly :( At the start of the third week, Das finally learned Slow and leveled earth to expert, and ignoring all the hives except the one standing near the road, I rushed to the opponent. But, arriving at his respawn in the middle of the third week, I looked at his stats and decided it was best to get out of there, taking a hive, a Naga Bank, and painting two of his skeleton external dwellings — there turned out to be 4 in total... I gather hives, in one of the Treasure Zones I found 3 Dragon Utopias, in which I lost three angels; however, few useful artifacts. I didn't manage to take two hives before the Final Battle. Right before the Final Battle I built Artifact Merchants, hoping to buy the Ring of Life there, which I was missing for the Vial of Blood, but one artifact had already been bought there (maybe it was the ring and the opponent bought it and assembled the Vial of Blood for himself?) and I only bought myself the Shield of the Dying Dead, increasing Das' defense by 3. I absolutely did not expect the opponent to attack me himself that day in the castle. Das was an expert of earth, air and fire, had books of water and fire, Cloak of the Rejected, Speaker's Hat (though then he would have had to remove the kettle from his head. He had 30 Knowledge with Titan's Plate, against 19 for Galtran, but spell points were almost two times less :( Oh, if I had put on the Cloak of the Rejected or at least pulled out the book of fire, but it would have been better to put on the cloak. Besides, I could have doubled my own spell points by splitting into another Dungeon and building a Mana Vortex there :( In the cloak I would have broken the catapult, killed the Wyverns and Angels with lightning, and then we would have seen who could kill whom with magic faster! :( And besides, I could have built the Mage Guild 3 in the main city, which gave Anti-Magic, and with my Knowledge 30, the opponent couldn't teleport his skeletons over the city walls since he didn't know water magic. I think I could have broken the catapult with some probability already in the first round, though unlikely :( But for some reason I absolutely didn't think that Gosh would fly to attack me in the city that very day :( especially since two days before the Final Battle I checked in the tavern and saw my army was stronger :( Honestly, during the game I couldn't concentrate 100% and made mistakes :(
Thank you to my opponent for the game and for revealing to me the wonderful capabilities of the TeamViewer program for creating a network instead of Hamachi. Hamachi and GameRanger were nowhere near it in terms of connection quality and reliability, especially with slow and poor internet. I recommend it!
