I think that if you're going to fix bugs, you should fix them completely.

Reasons were found not to fix the tower bug, and I think the hydra bug is the same case; besides, it occurs much less frequently in the game.
I don't mind having extra options. Whether it's worth spending time on work whose results no one will use is up to the mod author to decide. I would just like the hydra fix to be a separate option, rather than being always enabled when ImprovedGameplay is enabled.
