[!] The ImprovedGameplay functionality is now completely independent of TournamentExtensions. This means that in order for the ImprovedGameplay functionality to work online, the option must be enabled for all players, and there is no need to enable the TournamentExtensions option.
[!] The ability to replay a quick battle manually, in which the hero does not cast spells, is tied to the ImprovedGameplay option, as it is controversial and changes the gameplay.
Therefore, online, this function can only be used if all players have the ImprovedGameplay option enabled.
[ ] Now, when a connected player exits before the start of a network game with the ImprovedGameplay or TournamentExtensions option disabled, and then connects with it enabled, or vice versa, the host reacts correctly, and re-creating the game is not required.
[ ] If the host has the ImprovedGameplay or TournamentExtensions option enabled, and a newly connected player does not, or even does not have HD, then all players (even without HD) will receive a notification about the option being active via chat.
For now, that's how it is.
Later, I might add a replayable autobattle with spellcasting allowed for offline play in tournament mode (because it won't change the gameplay).
And for online play, without changing the original rules, I only allow a question before each battle: quick or not quick, and nothing more.
Still, if one player has a chance to re-roll in the game, then the same chance should be given to others. Therefore, we play with the ImprovedGameplay option enabled. Although this is no longer quite a standard game in terms of gameplay,
but an improved standard game (with bugs fixed and quick battles), but it is still far from TE/VT.
[-] Bug: when the SkipMapMsgs option was enabled in all color modes, except for 32-bit MMX + SystemCursors, the cursor disappeared when standard messages were skipped.
[-] Bug: right-clicking in the adventure window could lead to crashes and, possibly, to something else unpleasant (this has been around since version 2.9 or earlier).
[-] Bug: campaign saves and, possibly, other types of offline game saves were protected by passwords...
[-] Bug: in a replayable battle, a hero from the losing side received double the amount of artifacts in his backpack.
[+] (author - Sav) In ImprovedGameplay, a fix for the Quick Battle bug has been added, which, among other things, allowed taking Hive with a Hydra without losses and receiving implausibly low damage from slow flyers against archers.
[!] The replayable battle has been moved from ImprovedGameplay to TournamentExtensions and highlighted as an in-game option.
- - - In single-player, it works if the TournamentExtensions option is enabled (the hero casts spells if ImprovedGameplay is disabled, otherwise, he does not).
- - - In multiplayer, it works (the hero does not cast spells) if all players have TournamentExtensions enabled and the host has the in-game option 'Replayable Quick Battle' enabled.
[+] In TournamentExtensions, the ability to quickly end a battle using the hotkey [F] has been added.
- - - The battle will end as if we pressed the autobattle button without magic, but instantly, without animation.
- - - The game will ask for confirmation.
[+] In TournamentExtensions, only online, if the 'replayable quick battle' option is NOT enabled, but quick battle is enabled, the game will ask before each battle with AI whether to play a quick battle or in manual mode.
[+] The HD3Launcher.exe window has added control over some options from the ini file.
[+] Finally, when selecting a language in HD3Launcher.exe, the language of its interface changes (i.e., the launcher is now in Russian, but not yet in Polish).
[+] The game will refuse to replay a scenario if the scenario file (.h3m) is missing.
[!] The automatic map fix for WoG/TE/WT/ERA has removed the fix for the hero's secondary skills (because it is potentially conflicting).
[!] Due to changes in the Launcher, it is currently not possible to enable AutofixMap, TournamentExtensions, and ImprovedGameplay for WoG/TE/WT/ERA through it.
- - - However, it can be done manually by editing the _HD3_.ini file in Notepad.
