At first, the opponent blockaded my Tower, then the Citadel with Gundula, and so I get Shakhti with three stacks and a Ring of Health. Under the Castle there's an external dwelling of Minotaurs with cheap guards, Galthran arrives as the fifth hero. I capture the Necropolis secondary town, there are tons of upgrade structures on two spawns. Only one thing: not a single money building, just two Cyclops huts. On 117, I barely put up a portal and buy out all the Minotaurs, 1-5 in Fort. Important note: the whole action unfolds underground, while the opponent has everything on the surface.
All of the second week, Galthran traveled around the upgrade structures, built a Castle in the Dungeon. In the third week, I burst into the upper Inferno secondary town, right there a Dwarf Cottage and an Imp dwelling, we're in business! I went to the surface, there's an Inferno treasure zone. I took out the green keymaster, captured several Beholders, colored the gold mine. But it's hard to fight without Oil, heavy losses, I break back home. Meanwhile, the opponent took my Necropolis Castle from me. Manticores were placed in the Dungeon.
141, I go to reclaim the Necropolis, immediately build a Veil of Darkness there. I flee into the first underground treasure zone, where a Dragon Utopia was visible. Along the way, I capture money, a Tomb with the Breastplate of the Alliance, a Pandora's Box for 15k experience. At the end of the week, I reach the Dragon Utopia.
212, Galthran, almost naked with just skeletons, breaks the Dragon Utopia; they give me the Sword of Justice, the Titan's Cuirass, and the sorely needed Amulet for morale/luck. I grab two Dragon Fly Hives nearby and break back to the Necropolis, where I learned Slow and upgraded the skeletons. I fled into the second underground treasure zone. In it, I found a Shield +5, a Dragon Fly Hive, a Griffin Conservatory-3, an external dwelling of Manticores. In the Castle, I built Mage Guild-5, there's Summon Elementals, level 4 is utterly ridiculous. As for magic, essentially only a Meteor Shower scroll. Skill progression: Defense, Attack, Earth, Tactics, Logistics, Wisdom, Sorcery.
225, I break the GO from the Wizard faction, stupidly lose an Angel. 231, I capture the opponent's main, there's also a useless Mage Guild-4. No money to buy creatures, unfortunately. I send some chumps to one of the opponent's secondary towns, Galthran to the second. The opponent, it turns out, has a double-build. But apparently no better off with money than me. 233, I sit down in the enemy's secondary town, where a Castle is built. On the same turn, Alamar attacks.
In terms of troops, one can talk about approximate equality; the opponent has larger stacks than me in every case, but I have skeletons and superiority in battle stats and skills. If I had Animate Dead or Resurrection, everything would be simple: destroy the ballista, and then simply not allow skeletons or Minotaurs to be killed, I have more mana. As it was, I had to think a lot.
First round - Mass Slow on everyone. In the second, the opponent casts Explosion on the Minotaurs, I cast Meteor on five of his seven creatures (I placed it luckily, yes), then the Angels resurrect, I repeat Meteor. In the fourth round, Haste on the skeletons, the rest attack as much as possible. In a few rounds, I dismantled everyone, Resurrection didn't save him. As it turned out later, the opponent didn't bother to bring a Haste scroll to the final battle.
Thanks for an interesting game.
P.S. 3rd screenshot - there's an island of misfortune in the dungeon, completely covered in Hydras, absolutely entirely :D
