Player rating for tournaments across all installments of Heroes.
I will try to summarize all the suggestions made. 1. A purely game-based rating is calculated using the system proposed by the respected IronAxe, without taking aging into account, but with a minimum quota of tournaments per year (I suggest 6 tournaments - once every two months). The rating of those who have played in fewer tournaments can be aged.
This is what I'm talking about. But the AmberSolera formula also takes into account the number of participants in the tournament, which I don't have. And later, if the system works, it might be possible to add the strength of the tournament, depending on the total rating of the participants, but this is not possible yet because no one has a current rating. Therefore, my simple formula needs to be refined with the AmberSolera formula, but the influence of the second component needs to be reduced somehow? Or we need to think of something else. Because the specifics of speedrunning are reflected in the number of days spent on completing the game, not in the place taken. A silly example: 1st place - 1 day. 2nd place - 1000 days.AlexeyPank;60044
I think I've taken all the suggestions into account. Any comments?
Not comments, but suggestions. For now, it might work as is, but my simple formula can possibly be improved with ideas from AmberSolera, but we need to start taking into account the current ratings of the players on this resource in some way.
