Resistance to enemy magic is achieved by any hero if they have:
- creatures with immunity to magic (like dragons!);
- artifacts that provide resistance to magic (necklace, cloak, boots);
- artifacts against specific spells (amulets) or of a more general purpose: Medal of Valor - against all mind control spells, Cloak of Negation - against magic of levels 3-5, Sphere of Inhibition - against all magic.
But "digging up" Thorgrim specifically... No, the Fortress has many other good heroes! Besides, the Resistance skill can be obtained by any hero when leveling up, and there are also witch huts and universities...
