You are a sergeant. You will likely earn this rank through your achievements while serving as a private. Once you receive your sergeant chevrons, life in the army will change significantly. Now, an entire squad, or even a platoon, will be under your responsibility. If soldiers fail to complete a task during shooting exercises, training, or sports competitions, they will be held accountable, including the sergeant. You will have to constantly monitor how your subordinates are being trained and whether they are doing everything correctly. You will have to explain to the lazy and idle that shirking their duties is not allowed in the army.
