No, that's not what I meant. The organizers of any tournament deserve our gratitude – they already spend a lot of time on it for free.
The issue is that we need to change the format of the tournaments somehow. Otherwise, technical losses are inevitable – people simply stop playing in the final third. For example, in my opinion, the group stage should be much faster (shorter in time). This is where the players who frequently forfeit will be eliminated. And then, for example, a Swiss-system tournament. This is just one option.
Alternatively, an additional point could be awarded if the game is finished within the allotted time for the round.
In any case, something needs to be done. Because in my series of 10 games, there were 3 technical losses. And that's too many (I was responsible for one of them). I think there will be players who had more than 3 technical losses in their series. Moreover, most of the technical losses occur at the end, not at the beginning of the tournament.

P.S. Of course, the fact that the end of the tournament coincided with the vacation period also played a role – July is not the best time for a tournament, as is August. For example, I registered for a tournament in August, but I already feel that I will have a couple of technical losses at the beginning of the tournament – in the place where I will be vacationing, there is no internet of any kind (I already checked, and there will be problems with mobile internet as well). But I didn't want to miss the whole tournament. That's why I registered. I think I'm not the only one. But starting a new tournament at the end of August would be a completely different picture. Sorry for writing about the future tournament in this thread. But I wanted to talk about the principles.
