Perhaps. But the most important thing here is the element of randomness, Spear. Randomness can either smile upon you or spit on you. The task of any player is to minimize the influence of randomness and maximize the influence of their own intellect. Then, even if you fail to win for some reason, you can confidently say that you put in all possible effort and tried to use your brain wherever possible.
If you look at the Reaper's role, you can see that it essentially has two lives, but the second one is in someone else's guise. Randomness is randomness, but it's quite possible that someone could be scared – not having enough time to use a very powerful ultimate ability before the first death. And here, a well-known player gets the role, and suddenly they think, "Why not try to catch people on the day when there are the most Night Lords and people visit me often? I have nothing to lose anyway." I don't see any reason why you or Ar couldn't use the Hand by the same logic.
Honestly, I'd rather ban the toxic player than Ment, but I don't want to waste votes, and it doesn't make sense.

Or Spear, because they're really tired of killing him in the first two days.
