Well, it seems foolish now, and that can be used as an excuse. But if 2-3 people had been taken out, they would have sung a different tune.
So, the argument – “ARE YOU SAYING I’M SO STUPID THAT I WOULD FAIL LIKE THAT?” – doesn’t really hold up, does it.
