Translation by Sandro400:
If you want something done well, you should do it yourself, and I won't let anyone write their own version of my biography!
So, where to begin... I was born... it doesn't matter when, in the Duchy of the Bull. Throughout my childhood, I had these distinct, vivid visions and dreams. My parents believed that I was destined to become a priest of Light. I don't need to tell you how terribly wrong they were.
I left the Empire with its harsh laws and blind faith as soon as I was old enough, and went to the Seven Cities. I was driven by one thing - the realization that there was something beyond life and death, the Dragon Gods, and even the reality of Ashan itself. I was only missing her, my dear sister. Only she understood me. Her death was the moment in my life that determined my path. And I have been following that path ever since.
I entered the academy in the city of Al-Betil. It was a time when philosophers held lengthy debates, when it seemed that all the secrets of the universe would soon be in the hands of mages. It was there that I met Belqet - you have, of course, heard of him, because not only was he a respected teacher in the Seven Cities, but he was also a student of Sar-Shazzar himself and learned much from him. In Belqet, I saw a kindred spirit. Like me, he was not constrained by the dogmas of the so-called "Dragon Gods." Soon, we became more than just teacher and student; we became friends. I was with him when he found those ancient texts that revealed the power of necromancy to him. That's when our paths began to diverge. For me, necromancy was no more than a philosophy, another step in the pursuit of greater knowledge. For Belqet, it became "the Truth."
We found a way to tear our souls out of the cycle of life and death created by Ashan and shed our mortal shells. And yet, Belqet believed that we should serve Ashan and her masterpiece. And nothing more. That's when I realized that we were not so alike after all.
At first, I thought that the cult of the Spider Queen might somehow help me achieve my goals, and I could use it. The sect grew rapidly, attracting mages who feared death. Of course, I too "changed," but I did not drink the poison of Namtaru. I achieved my immortality by playing with forces older than Ashan and Urgash. I almost died, but almost doesn't count; the loss of flesh is a trivial price to pay for revelation.
In the end, the Necromancers learned of my disbelief and expelled me from their cult. After that, I wandered the world - until, finally, my plans began to come to fruition...
