Someone from the Mafia had to defend Toxi. He was the first to come to his aid, and even took responsibility for him. Without any doubt, even though he knew Toxi was wrong. We could have developed the idea that the Mafia didn't shoot because the game schedule wasn't accurate, and so on.
But they both clearly stated that the Doctor was healed by the Mafia. He can't be the Doctor alone.

Yes, about the Doctor. I don't think he can be. Do you think this explanation of confidence in identifying the killer is contrived and just a way to "cover for the Mafia"?

I think he's Mafia. Based on intuition and in light of the recent events, which you should read. He confidently claims that the killer was a maniac, and not the Mafia. But in reality, it could be the opposite, because it's not obvious. So, how could he know that the Mafia didn't shoot? Did he not see his own night action? x) Or did he see it.

But in general, I'm the Investigator. Yes.
