I haven't tried and I don't plan to. Without Conflux = without old saves = without 1/3 of the gameplay in the form of Dynasty. And none of what I described in your quoted message is a reason to play when connecting to the CONFLUX servers.

bobchik, in general, yes, the loading screen is more annoying than the landscape loading. I'm surprised that I haven't seen anything like this anywhere else, so I think it's a shoddy job.
