In the past few days, the team at the Institute of Absolutely Useless Research has dwindled, and the employees knew who was to blame. They clearly did not expect such a visit and spent a few seconds in a daze. But as soon as they realized what was going on, Mortulus rushed to run straight out the window. Whether he crashed or, perhaps, was somehow saved by the mysteriously vanished boss is unknown. And Thorium, covering himself with the fact that he had not committed a single murder, and agreeing to any job at the institute, surrendered to the mages. Thus, peace and tranquility were restored in the institute, but at what cost...
P.S. The special correspondent of the "Solovetsky Vestnik" at the Institute of Absolutely Useless Research, B. Pitomnik, is awarded a prize for the successful investigation of the death of G. Prozorlivy and is sent on a well-deserved retirement. According to the investigation, G. Prozorlivy was killed by a rare specimen of an animal that escaped from the vivarium. Measures have been taken to strengthen the security of the vivarium and to ensure better safety for the institute's employees and guests; those responsible for the incident have been punished.
P.P.S. The editorial staff asks you to consider the latest issues of the "Solovetsky Vestnik" as nothing more than a literary fiction, and not to perceive the events described in them as actually happening.
