Yes, I forgot to mention one more thing: on Twitter, there’s a “draconian” limit on the length of a post (160 characters, or something? I don’t know, I don’t have an account there) – and yet, people somehow manage to write! :)\nAnd also, I’ve wanted to write this for a while, primarily for ariputra, and for others who might follow his example:\nA.P. Chekhov said: “Brevity is the soul of wit.” A smart person is not the one who dumps gigabytes of (useless) information on the heads of readers of his posts, but rather, the one who can express his thoughts concisely and clearly. Take an example from another classic – A. Blok; this poem has been quoted endlessly, but that doesn’t make it any worse:
Night, street, lamp, drugstore, Meaningless and dim light. Live for another quarter of a century - Everything will be the same. There is no way out.
You will die – and you will start again And everything will repeat itself, as before: Night, icy ripple of the canal, Drugstore, street, lamp.
When you can write like that, people will want to communicate with you! :)
