Round 1: 9 groups of 3 people each, with 2 people advancing from each group = 18 people
Round 2: 6 groups of 3 people each, with 2 people advancing from each group = 12 people
Round 3: 4 groups of 3 people each, with 2 people advancing from each group = 8 people, who advance to the playoffs.
Round 2: 6 groups of 3 people each, with 2 people advancing from each group = 12 people
