So, it doesn't matter which check it is, since there's no second check or Mafia block, and I clearly can't have two Night actions.

But you could easily have one of them. I absolutely won't believe that the Mafia voluntarily gave up a block. Unless they framed someone, but then the second Mafia Night action wouldn't be obvious.

If Ara is indeed Oyra-Oyra, then everything makes sense: the Mafia checked Tox, the Ifrit sat quietly and waited for the opportunity to start targeting Arik. But Ara is very strange. Either he's inattentive, or he consciously "didn't notice" who was checking him.
