Lucky owners of pets that have gained 20,000 or more experience points can upgrade them to the second level by completing the new quest "Pet Development," available to heroes starting from level 12. An artifact with an upgraded pet will not disappear if the pet dies in battle. An upgraded pet can be given a name. Upgraded pets continue to gain experience and develop: for each new level, starting from the third, the pet's attack and defense increase by 1, and its HP increases by 10. The pet automatically receives all levels after the second. The experience required to reach the next level increases by 1.5 times: the second level requires 20,000 experience points, the third requires 30,000, the fourth requires 45,000, and so on.
