Moderator elections...

Please share your opinion (including by voting in the attached poll) on the following topic. I believe it would be right for users in our section to elect their own moderators. I propose implementing a system of **elections** for moderators, based on which the moderator team will be formed. Here's how it would work: We have a certain number of moderator positions. Those who want to be moderators but are not yet, can nominate themselves, and a vote is held with the participation of the candidates and those who are already moderators. Moderator elections, for example, could be held once a year. I believe that this rotation procedure is more objective than the one we have now.
