"Dragon Flight" refers specifically to dragonflies (and in my "localization" with a "complete Russian translation"), so what's wrong with dragonfly or dragon fly as "dragon flight"? :D
Or is it a "serpent fly"? :D

I would never have guessed that Dragon Fly means "dragon flight" (although the literal translation is almost correct). Especially since the translation sounds like this:

Indeed, the correct version would be: Few understand why the Serpent Fly's ability can dispel spells.

The weakest stack in terms of total health (if my memory serves me correctly), although possibly in terms of quantity as well - I'm too lazy to check the reference.

Neither one nor the other. The computer determines the value of each stack and halves the stack with the lowest value. In the case of an odd number of units, it is rounded down to the nearest whole number. The principle by which the value of a stack is determined is unknown to me. Perhaps operations are performed with the AI values parameter, but the relationship is not direct.

For example, 1 Archangel is more valuable than 60 Pikemen. But if the stack consists of 61 Pikemen, then the Archangel is no longer that valuable in the end... ))) The Archangel marches in a neat row to the bottom.

Moreover, any manipulations with artifacts that change the health (attack/defense) of units do not change the situation. Therefore, some internal parameter (constant) is taken into account.

Note:
If all the whirlpools on the map are located in an area covered by the "Favorable Winds" terrain, then the movement mechanism does not work correctly - the whirlpool becomes inaccessible for visiting, or it is accessible, but does not allow you to move to another one (obviously, this is a bug in the game).
