I'll add: perhaps I would have needed a few more weeks or months to accumulate money and troops, and then I might have been able to defeat Salamandre, but that's too boring for me, because I've already explored the entire map and there's absolutely nothing left to do there. Besides, I've already captured the only Turquoise city, so she was bound to disappear after a week.
