I agree with points 1, 2, 3, and 4. But why Syl, and not Fury or... well, whoever has a magical element specialization?

Syl is chosen because her specialization is magical arrow, which deals 40 damage at level 1 (and she starts with 30 mana), which is very helpful at the beginning.
