Ar, while interesting, this particular achievement is completely impractical and unnecessary for people. I'm not talking about the interest here, but about the fact that they spent a lot of time on something that isn't useful, instead of learning something beneficial. Unless, as Amko rightly pointed out, they discovered something else in the process of another investigation.
