The Russian ethnicity consists of: Slavs + Turks + Ugro-Finns + other small groups. The composition of the Siberian ethnicity is generally the same, but:
1 - As a result of various natural-climatic and geographical conditions, a special "regional type of Russian nationality" was formed (not my phrase, this is P.A. Slovtsov - the first Siberian historian).
2 - Because the most active elements of the Russian ethnicity (and others as well) ended up in Siberia — Decembrists, Cossacks, exiles, etc. — the Siberian ethnicity overall became more passionary and energetic.
All this leads to the difference between Siberians and Russians. Plus, add the psychology of a colony population.
