Searches of the lost city

I started playing this map, but all the messages are displayed as gibberish. As far as I understand, it's impossible to complete the map without reading the messages. Perhaps the author could suggest what's causing the font problem.

I reviewed all the messages in the editor, and it turns out there's nothing critically wrong there. I started playing.
