That's 1-1-7. medstrax, so you started over; how far did you get before?

I got to infinity ;) I mean, I eliminate everyone along the coast and gain control of 7 castles. But then I hit a snag. I won't explain the details so as not to spoil the fun. I encountered a situation where it doesn't depend on me; the passage guard must unlock the gate, and only he is allowed to do so. And he just stands there because neutral creatures spawned near the guard (on a side inaccessible to me). Although the computer's parameters are around 40 and it has huge stacks. I tried to cheat, I removed the neutral creatures, and then the computer calmly unlocks the gate. Has anyone encountered something similar?
