Voted for Heroes 3. Played the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th installments. The 3rd one was better than the 2nd. Played the 4th one a lot. It's better than the 3rd because you can choose which 6th and 7th-level creatures to build, and there's a rich selection when buying heroes. But it's less interesting in terms of magic. The 5th one. The main drawback: they don't run on my 1700 Celeron. Although, I recently bought a modern laptop, so I might try it. Nevertheless, I tried playing a bit at a friend's place. In the 5th one, I don't like that all the ranged units shoot at the target and miss, dealing 0 damage. I understand that the hero needs to develop their ranged attack skill, but the 3rd one is simpler in this regard. P.S. I only played the 3rd one online.
