S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and the Zone of Death

I haven't read "Zone of Death," but "Stalker" by Kalugin, Glushkov, Livadny, and Shalygin is one of the best books in the series. Currently, "Stalker" has declined in quality (referring to the books), and it's not even enjoyable to read anymore.
