He realized late that the Great Owl could move through rough terrain, but he decided to play anyway. He hadn't played in a while and thought he'd reminisce about how it was. He didn't really get to the Treasure, and his growth was a bit uneven. After the first attack, he cleverly bought his way out, and the second time they fought to the end. Max's haste ultimately decided the outcome.
