The fact that Waleska never found anything to increase her speed is probably the main reason for the loss. And there weren't any good heroes either. Although there was a lot of money, and I fired a bunch of weaklings about 10 times during the game.
I played for the first time on this map, so I spent a lot of time just standing around (I didn't really understand where I needed to go and how to get to a decent treasure).
