I'm not really a fan of anime, but recently I came across a good example of the genre, I think many have heard of Hellsing. The concept of the story seems banal: there's a vampire, a typical badass, who, while indulging in bloodshed, makes sarcastic comments and trolls everyone around. But, despite the overused plot, it was very interesting, and I think the dynamic and interesting characters are to thank for that!
I watched the OVA because the series went downhill and took a wrong turn. Besides, as far as I could tell, everything in it was too smoothed out, too appeasing, or something like that.
Overall, I recommend it.
