If each message from a particular user has a negative rating, the moderators will easily understand that something is wrong here.

And what will happen? Giving someone a negative reputation point isn't a violation. If you don't like a post, you have every right to give it a negative rating. Besides, a negative overall reputation score doesn't lead to a ban or block the ability to publish posts; the only limitation is that you can't influence the reputation scores of other users with a negative reputation score.

I suggest we just ignore the message counter.
