This isn't funny :smile06:
...I would say I'm starting to feel the game better, and seeing its flaws in places I didn't notice before. For example, on HL maps, it's very difficult to find control without rebuilding the guild, and I felt this firsthand. The same goes for the orb and the timer. WT looks much better in some aspects, but there are also aspects that are completely unacceptable.
Playing knowing that I will definitely have any magic in GM somehow doesn't appeal to me; I don't want to risk getting a broken stack, morality :D. Where did I even go with that... In short, the imbalance of SoD is what makes it interesting.
So, there's no need to shout. If a person said they play with one rule of fair play, without opening/viewing the map or using saves, then yes, they would be playing SoD.
And this is just empty bravado. Or simply a lack of awareness that they are already playing a different game than the one John Van Caneghem created, but a perverted version of it for the sake of balance.

I wanted to lead to the question in the previous post - what can be changed in the game without changing the core mechanics to improve the gameplay (there are too many criteria, so just improvements)?
- maybe reduce the starting money?
- some temporary improvements (the timer from WT - but this is very controversial for drawn-out battles)
- "random" templates - are they really that random with such a description?
Maybe someone else has some thoughts on this, and who knows, maybe we can find something useful.
