The first wave of Hounds was destroyed (some died from Arcat's wall, some were trampled by the bears, some died from Magnus's Holy Word spell – Magnus exhausted his strength on this spell for today, and some were killed by the Paladins), but more sluggish demon troops appeared through the almost extinguished Wall of Flames. Behind them, the Lords appeared, and another meteor shower swept through the forest, hitting quite ordinary... fortunately, only a couple of warriors were affected. New Hounds appeared behind the Demons...

Magnus ordered Verdan to distract the Demons while he rushed towards the steadily retreating detachment of She Who Must Be Obeyed.
But Verdan also had a plan... it was like an epiphany... (who knows, maybe Magnus's prayers came true). Verdan shouted:
- Follow me! and on his bear, he rushed along the rows of demons, leading the rest... the dwarven riders
