I didn't read the discussion, there's too much written. Specifically in post #2503, there was an insult, i.e.

an insult to the honor and dignity of another person, expressed in an indecent form...

, and it wasn't just one person who was insulted, but all women at once, and therefore there was an indirect insult to every woman reading this thread.
I spend a lot of time on another (scientific) forum, and such a thing would be completely unacceptable there, they wouldn't just give 25 penalty points, but would ban the person forever and by IP address.
Apparently, we don't have many women here, and the guys feel like they're in a smoking room in a men's restroom... We shouldn't forget that the Forum and the Tribune are public places, and everyone has access.
