Which is better, attacking or defending?

In my opinion, Attack is better.

So:
1) For Necropolis – defense
2) For Academy – 50% defense, 50% attack
3) Elves also 50% defense and attack
4) Fortress – defense
5) Humans – attack (their hero is built for defense)
6) Inferno – defense (it’s very weak, but their attack is decent)
7) Stronghold – attack (since their units are built entirely for defense)
8) Stronghold – they need both ;)
P.S.: Based on all this, the conclusion is: defense is preferable.
