Is a chat feature needed on HeroesWorld?

Just take a look at the chat on HeroesPortal. It seems to be a well-organized and civilized place.
The WT chat is a real garbage dump, but it was created with the idea of "freedom of speech." Such behavior won't be tolerated on HW, and those who engage in abusive chat will be banned from the forum. That's all.

Your post scared me, especially the part where you mention the WT chat and all the negative things you have to say about it – it's absurd for development. It's simply the opposite of all other chats; it's like saying, "Guys, don't do that." The Portal chat isn't great either, but it's different, just like different people have different personalities.

In the course of 7 days, there can be many discussions, and the most important ones among the participants will be happening right now (1-12 hours); tomorrow, they will be talking about something else or arguing.
Clearing the chat once a week is just removing outdated material, but ideally, the trash should be removed once a day, but that's not enough for culture – we need online moderators – there are many "villains" in a good sense of the word.
