Is a chat feature needed on HeroesWorld?

What's the point of discussing something important in the chat when the chat will be cleared of all messages in 7 days? Of course, you can discuss it, then copy it into a topic to save it. I'm just saying how it used to be; now, things might be different because there are fewer spammers, and they are less active; they are quite happy with their own section. But if they create a chat, it will most likely be a general one, and therefore, there might be spam in it. Even smiley parades =\
