In general, heroes like Jelu, Dragon, Crag Hack, and others were banned from tournaments in our community (St. Petersburg). The same applies to heroes with the Diplomacy skill. And if a hero accidentally gains it during a game, there's a two-week period to get rid of that hero. It's strict, but in my opinion, it's fair for a competition. From the "standard set," I prefer those who bring resources; they are very useful heroes at the beginning of the game! Later, I buy and develop another hero, either a good logistician or a powerful mage.
