We moved away from the village to a safe distance quickly enough and stopped to wait for Knight; it was obvious from people's faces that many were displeased with his slowness.... "Well, he just dreamed of the tavern very much, and perhaps Knight is reluctant to leave there so quickly...." I tried to defend him in the eyes of my friends, but apparently unsuccessfully, as they frowned even more.......
Knight, when the commotion started, you quickly climbed to the second floor and looked out the window to first assess the situation rather than rushing blindly into danger and helping in a difficult moment. Just as you approached the window, the floor beneath you gives way; you fall onto the floor of some room on the first floor (seems like a utility closet) and slide down into the basement via the stairs. The most frustrating part is that a mop in the utility closet, knocked over by you as you fell, hits the cover and the hatch to the basement slams shut. You can hear some junk falling onto the basement cover... it seems it cannot be opened... Your actions?
