Which Might and Magic universe are you referring to?

The original universe has a wonderful atmosphere, detailed world-building, and a long history. The setting itself is quite unusual. It seems like fantasy, but then you realize that the planet's inhabitants are not the original population, technology is much more advanced than even in the "real" world, and the demons are not demons at all, but evil aliens. All of this is complemented by a number of quite charming villains and unconventional, even by modern standards, plot twists. As for Ashen, it's just a typical fantasy setting; there are countless worlds like it. It's not bad, but it doesn't stand out much among the others.
