Lux, what cannot be seen with the naked eye can be absolutely any light phenomenon related to the operation of a camera; this is obvious. Even now, the sensitivity of a user's camera cannot be compared to the sensitivity of a normal eye, which means the camera cannot see "hidden objects." But it can see dirt on the lens, all sorts of diffractions/interferences in all their manifestations (especially if the camera is film-based, which should be particularly noticeable, and in 1996 there weren't many other types).
