I think it was the Crusader who killed him. I don't quite understand Amka's role yet, but if he really is a Mafia member, then it's probably best to leave him for now.
If you believe that the Crusader was the one who killed him, then why shouldn't we execute Lynx? Because then the "growl" would be excellent evidence. It's hard to attribute it to anyone else.
