The horrors, sadness, and anxiety brought by war had no power over this place. It was so peaceful that tranquility enveloped the soul, and everything else was forgotten; body and mind rested, spirit and feelings were cleansed. Tall grass swayed rhythmically to the music of a gentle breeze, as did the pink leaves on the peach trees.
The only person in this place lay under one of them. Peacefulness could be read on his refined features; his eyes were closed, and long snow-white hair fluttered in the wind. As Faelvir and Lindeskar approached, his eyelids rose, and the man looked at them with green eyes.
