I still think the difference lies in the psychology of the cheater, regardless of whether they are male or female. I don't think Katya cheated out of malice; I don't know why she did it, but it certainly wasn't just to achieve a result. And, by the way, if cheaters were incorrigible, she could have simply left the forum and given up on this World Championship... but she promised to improve, and that's not for no reason, IMHO!
