What do the official forums and the fan forums want?

Max, I think I understand what you're writing about, but I didn't see the main point. What's your personal experience playing HL+U templates on Wt and SoD? And can we skip all the rambling about what's closer, more familiar, and true?

My experience isn't extensive, but in less than 2 years, I've played at least 20 online games on Wt. I even promised Dirty Player that I'd tell him when I played 30, but I never did; it's just not my thing. I've also played roughly the same number of single-player games, for comparison with SoD, and even signed up for a Wt tournament. All the games were on HL templates, except for a few nostalgic runs. In SoD, if we consider the maximum template size, I've played around 70-100 official games and probably about 20 for fun. So, I've basically been playing Heroes non-stop (I've also played other map sizes), which is something not everyone can do due to their busy schedules. I don't think most people need to spend so much time figuring it out. It either clicks, or it doesn't. And also, I'm not saying that it's better to play on HL templates; I'm just saying that I don't like Wt, so the question of whether to play it on Excel or not is irrelevant.
